2021-01-06 Chicago Bulls Vs Sacramento Kings Preview

Chicago Bulls (4-4) at Sacramento Kings (3-4)

01-06-2021 Sacramento, CA

The Bulls travel south from Portland to California to play the on a second night of a back to back against the Sacramento Kings.  Chicago had an unexpected comeback from 20 points down to pull off a win capped by Zach Lavine’s late dagger and Coby White’s clutch free throws giving them a 111-108 win over the Blazers and having a 4-1 record in their past 5 games.

Tonight will be another late game that will test the Bulls legs after going down the wire last night.  The Kings are off to a shaky start to the season and have lost 3 in a row, their last to the Warriors. The Bulls should be starting the same lineup as last game but with both Lavine & White playing 40+ minutes, fatigue will play a prominent role in this game, especially with 4 rotation players still sitting out.  Chicago will need to play with its new found high pace game instilled by Coach Billy Donavan and have Lavine continue his ball distribution from last night (9 assists) along with 7 total Bulls scoring in double figures. The Bulls are developing a new culture that is focused on team play, high energy, and ball movement.  On the defensive end, the Bulls will have to contain young star De’Aaron Fox in order to have the best chance of winning.

With the recent struggles of the Kings and the tired legs from last night’s thriller for the Bulls, this game seems to be a toss up, but a win here would do wonders for momentum and confidence for this young Bulls team.
