After 22 Years, Chicago Bulls fire GM Gar Forman

After 22 years with this organization, The Chicago Bulls have fired Gar Forman.
Consequently, this move came right after the Bulls hired former Denver Nuggets General Manager Arturas Karnisovas as the organization’s Executive VP of Basketball Operations.
John Paxson, who held Karnisova’s position will remain with the team as a senior advisor of basketball operations. Important to realize, Paxson will not be involved with the daily operations.
First, Karnisovas is looking to shake up the whole organization. He’s hired to affect change on the current situation.
“Our ultimate goal is clearly to bring an NBA championship to the city of Chicago,” Karnisovas said during Monday’s conference call. “That is what every team in the NBA strives for. All we can control is our approach and the process behind every decision. A firm foundation is absolutely vital. I’ll build that here in Chicago. No skipping steps.”
“In short term, what needs to happen is that we begin to establish a culture of who we are as a team and the expectations for winning,” Karnisovas said. “Everybody wants to win, we just have to establish how we’re going to do it and what we value.”
Lastly, culture change is good for the Chicago Bulls. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over with expecting different results. Maybe now, there will be different results with a new front office!
