Chicago Bears Decline QB Mitchell Trubisky's 5th Year Option

5th year Option Declined.
No surprise here. The Chicago Bears decided to decline the 5th year option on their Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky for the 2021 Season.
Here are the Shoot Your Shot Stats For Trubisky:
-Finished 28th in Total QBR (39.4)
-27th in TD Passes (17)
-21st in Total Passing Yards (3,138)
-28th in Traditional QB Rating
The Chicago Bears had an “emBEARassing” season going 8-8 and failed making the playoffs.
In March, the Bears acquired Nick Foles with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trubisky and Foles will be competing for the starting role in 2020.
“We’ve increased competition at a critical position and we talked to both players, and the way we view this is it’s an open competition,” Pace said on April 3. “And credit to both those guys for embracing it.”
