Chicago Bulls Vs LA Lakers Preview - 01-08-2021

Chicago Bulls (4-5) at Los Angeles Lakers (6-3)

01-08-2021

The Chicago Bulls travel to Los Angeles to take on Lebron James and the defending NBA Champion LA Lakers. Both teams are coming off of a loss with the Bulls just falling short late in the 4th quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday and the Lakers dropping one to the San Antonio Spurs. The Bulls will still be out with Ryan Arcidiacono, Tomas Satoransky, Lauri Markkanen, and Chandler Hutchison.  Patrick Williams is day to day under a concussion protocol. The Lakers will be without Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

I’m really hoping to see Williams play and see how his defense fares against the leagues best in Lebron James.  The Lakers are coming off of a back to back set and could be under minutes restrictions to not overwork their starters. I expect to see a lot of the second unit to play today against the Bulls. On the other had, after a tough loss to the Kings, the Bulls have been able to rest and I fully expect the Bulls backcourt to stay hot. Wendell Carter Jr.  is one player that has to have a a big game. He will be tasked with defending Anthony Davis and must stay out of foul trouble but also, put pressure with a breakout scoring game that hasn’t been seen this season.

The Bulls should be able to keep this close with a outside puncher’s chance of stealing a win.
