Chicago Bulls (3-4) At Portland Trailblazers (3-3)
01/05/2021 | Portland, Oregon
The Bulls travel to to Portland to take on the Trailblazers to kick off a 4 game West Coast road trip. After starting the season 0-3, the Bulls have reeled off 3 of 4 wins, with the last being an impressive win over Dallas where Zach Lavine scored a career high 29 points in the first half and finished with a game high 39 points. This is the best start for the Bulls since 2017.
The Bulls look to put out the same starting five as last game with Coby White, Lavine, Patrick Williams, Otto Porter Jr., and Wendell Carter. The Bulls have a tough task of containing one of the best backcourts in the league with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. This game will truly test Lavine’s improvement on the defensive side of the ball chasing this backcourt around all game.
The play of the Blazers has been sporadic with a loss last game against the Warriors. Lavine & White have a good chance at penetrating the interior defense of Portland (a weak point to start the season) Chicago has a real chance of stealing a game on the road with the up and down play of Portland and starting this road trip off with a big win and reaching .500.
