Chicago Cubs Vs Cincinnati Reds 07/27/2020 Recap

This is the start of the series with the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds. The game started off as a joke as the cubs went up 7-0 lead.
Jon Lester started out with allowing a no hitter. Jeremy Jeffries locked down a nervous 9th inning as the Cubs come away with a win 8-7.
Kris Bryant led off the game by getting hit, followed by a walk to Anthony Rizzo. After Báez and Schwarber took turns flying out, Willson Contreras and Steven Souza Jr. both cranked two-out doubles. David Bote then smacked a line-drive single to plate Souza Jr. to put the Cubs up 4-0.
In the 2nd, Bryant and Rizzo flip-flopped their walk and HBP. Báez joined and also got doubles to plate Bryant. Rizzo scored on a passed ball to make the score 6-0 Cubs.
Nothing happened for either team until the 6th inning. Rizzo went yard of his third home run of the season to make things 7-0.
Things got a little shaky when a beardless Craig Kimbrel came out. Looks like he had the case if the yips! Absolutely had no command of the game. He turned the ball over to Jeffress with a one-run lead and the bases loaded with just one out recorded.
Jeffries came in and finished the game to win 8-7. A W is a W.
Key Takeaway:
Lester was dominant and pitched a no hitter to help cushion the lead. Giving credit to Jeffries to get the Cubs out of the jam to win it.
