On this day, Vince McMahon fires Hulk Hogan.

Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan is one of the most legendary WWE Superstars of all time. In this clip, Hogan spoke about his red and yellow colors. He was asked to star in Rocky 3 which was made in 1982. He would play “Thunderlips” the world wrestling champion in that movie. Eventually, the script made Hogan fight Rocky in that movie for a charity event.

At first, Hogan thought that the letter he received contained the offer. It ended up being a prank. A bunch of the other wrestlers were behind it. He ignored it, but later found out that it was real. After that, Hogan took this to Vince McMahon Sr. It turned out that McMahon didn’t want Hogan to star in that movie. During this era, wrestlers could not do anything else.

Hogan still took the offer and got fired as a result. “Mr. McMahon Sr. said, ‘Well, if you do the movie, you’re fired,'” Hogan recalled. “So, I did the movie, and got fired. The words were, ‘You’ll never work here again.’
