After many negoiation talks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they could not agree on a number to keep Jameis Winston. Winston, just came off an outstanding season!

He played in all 16 games in 2019 and racked up a total of 5,109 yards, 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions while rushing for 250 yards and one touchdown. Once the season ended, Jameis went to get eye surgery.

Tampa Bay went out and signed Tom Brady and Jameis was on the outside looking in as he prepared to head to his next team.

Jameis Winston’s one-year contract with the Saints carries a base value of $1.1M, per source. He got a $148,000 signing bonus, a base salary of $952,000 and $3.4M is available in incentives. Jameis prioritized the chance to learn and grow as a player.
