The game will be electric: (10) Miami-Florida vs (1) Kansas
The 10th Seed Miami-Florida is on an amazing run and got themselves a ticket to the elite 8. This is the first time in history that the school has been to the Elite 8.
For Miami, Charlie Moore and Isaiah Wong were held scoreless in the first half due to Iowa State's defense.
Jordan Miller, Kameron McGusty and Sam Waardenburg stepped up and scored each of the team's 32 points as Miami took a small 3 point lead going into the 1st half.
McGusty finished with 27 points, Moore had 16 and Waardenburg posted 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks to help the Hurricanes pull away for a 70-56 victory.
The defense for Miami was lockdown. They forced 18 turnovers and held Iowa State to 4-of-22 shooting from the 3-point line.
For Kansas, The Jayhawks shot just 39.3%, with some tight defense last game. Remy Martin scored 23 points to lead Kansas and also Jalen Wilson contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds. They beat Providence 66-61.
